“Swisher said a colleague wanted her to suggest Firefly, a show Fox canceled almost a decade ago after it ran for just one year. Hastings acknowledged the show is popular among Netflix streamers, but that it would be impractical to create new episodes, given the actors have aged and the sets no longer exist.”
What? Actors age over time? Da-shiong bao-jah-shr duh la doo-tze!*
I’ve learned that some Einstein dude made up a theory on time being relative and shit but I am pretty sure the same rules apply to a bunch of people living on a space ship. Even if they’re crooks.
The sets no longer exist? Prepare for a sudden but inevitable set rebuild!
Imagine James Cameron sitting in his office chair crying beacuse he was told that he cannot make a movie about the sinking Titanic since that ship is already sunk.
At least, we’re still flying.
*The explosive diarrhea of an elephant!
Yep, the excuses are BS. The Titanic comparison is a bit unfair (financially, Cameron had serious funds he could spend on that movie), but ultimately correct.
So if they consider this seriously, they can do it. Dong ma?
