One thing irritated me in the trailer (other than the fact that it has all the “modern” (i. e. boring) horror movie tropes): as a huge fan of the 1982 film, I say that a Thing film doesn’t need this “people being dragged away” idiocy. If someone is caught, they are caught and imitated almost instantly, dragging makes about as much sense as when Terminators throw people around in Terminator Salvation instead of, you know, actually terminating them…

Is second the notion of the original sequel idea: that would be much much better. My only hope lies now in the gore effects. I hope they don’t mess those up…
